Trade Foam FAQs: Minimum Orders, Delivery and Specifications

Detailed answers for UK trade foam buyers covering minimum orders, quotes, delivery, repeat supply, foam blocks, cut sizes and technical specifications.

These trade and wholesale foam FAQs answer the practical questions businesses often need before requesting a quote, including minimum orders, commercial pricing, delivery, repeat supply, foam blocks, cut sizes and technical specifications.

Quick answer

All Foam does not publish one universal trade minimum order or one blanket discount for every product. Trade enquiries are reviewed around the actual product, quantity, dimensions, specification, delivery requirement and order pattern. Send those details first for the most useful response.

Is there a minimum order for trade foam?

There is no single published All Foam trade minimum order covering every product and enquiry.

Some standard products can be bought individually through the website. Bulk, repeated, specialist, block and commercial requirements can be reviewed separately.

If your purchasing policy requires a confirmed minimum order quantity for a specific quote, ask for it to be stated on the quotation.

Do trade customers get a fixed discount?

All Foam does not advertise one automatic percentage that applies to every trade requirement.

Pricing can depend on:

  • product
  • quantity
  • sheet or cut-piece format
  • dimensions
  • specialist specification
  • order frequency
  • delivery requirement

Read Trade Discounts on Foam Sheets for more detail.

Do I need a trade account before asking for a quote?

No separate public account setup needs to happen before you send the commercial requirement.

If you are searching for an All Foam trade account, start with the trade enquiry route and provide the actual business need.

What information should I send?

Include:

1. application 2. exact product if known 3. dimensions 4. thickness 5. quantity 6. one-off or recurring status 7. delivery postcode 8. required date 9. technical or fire requirement 10. drawing or part schedule if relevant

This is more useful than asking only for a trade price.

Can I order full foam sheets?

Yes, current online ranges include foam sheets in several material families.

Businesses can also contact All Foam about wholesale or bulk foam-sheet requirements.

Start with the Foam Sheets page to identify the current product range.

Can All Foam cut foam for a business?

All Foam can review suitable cut-to-size commercial requirements.

Send the foam type, finished dimensions, thickness and quantity.

If your requirement involves complex profiling, CNC routing, die cutting, lamination or another specialist fabrication process, explain that process explicitly so feasibility can be confirmed rather than assumed.

See Custom Foam Fabrication for Businesses.

Can I buy foam blocks?

Businesses can enquire about full foam blocks and larger material requirements.

Availability depends on material, grade, block dimensions, quantity and intended use.

A block can suit businesses that convert or slit foam in-house.

Can I order wholesale mattresses?

All Foam welcomes suitable enquiries for multiple standard mattresses and trade mattress supply.

For non-standard rectangular mattresses, provide the finished dimensions and quantity.

Shaped mattress requirements need discussion because a template may be required.

Can I order mattress toppers in quantity?

Trade and bulk enquiries are welcome for suitable mattress topper products in the current range.

Provide:

  • topper type
  • size
  • thickness
  • quantity
  • one-off or repeat requirement

What packaging foams are available?

The current packaging range includes several material families for different protection needs, including flat packaging foam, semi-rigid Ethafoam STPE200, closed-cell polyethylene and dense reconstituted foam. Dedicated anti-static foam is not currently supplied, so defined ESD requirements should be sourced to the exact specification.

Use the Packaging Foam Sheets page to compare the current options.

Do not assume every packaging foam is anti-static or closed-cell.

Is Ethafoam closed-cell foam?

All Foam keeps Ethafoam STPE200 separate from the Closed Cell Foam Sheets range.

It is presented as a semi-rigid packaging foam product.

For current closed-cell polyethylene, compare AFP30 and AFP45 on the Closed Cell Foam Sheets page.

Can I buy EPDM online?

EPDM is handled through the specialist or trade enquiry route rather than the normal online retail foam-sheet pages.

Describe the intended sealing or cushioning application and provide the relevant dimensions and technical requirements.

Are all foam sheets fire retardant?

No.

Fire performance varies by product.

Do not infer fire performance from colour, density, closed-cell structure or the word "acoustic".

Check the exact product data sheet and the finished project requirement.

Do you supply Class 0 acoustic foam?

Yes, the current AFPCLS0 Class 0 range is flat and unbacked, with 25mm and 50mm thicknesses.

Use it for suitable acoustic treatment applications where the stated fire classification is appropriate.

Acoustic foam is not a complete structural soundproofing system.

How long do trade orders take?

There is no single lead time for every commercial order.

Quantity, material, cutting, specialist requirements and delivery can affect timing.

Read Foam Sheet Lead Times for Trade Orders and ask for the timing attached to your specific quote.

Is Mainland UK delivery free?

The current All Foam delivery page states free delivery to Mainland UK for standard website orders, with separate charges or availability rules for some regions.

Large, unusual or specialist trade consignments may need specific transport arrangements, so confirm delivery on the commercial quotation rather than assuming every bulk consignment follows the normal retail rule.

See Delivery Information.

Can I request repeat supply?

Yes.

Repeat requirements are easier to manage when the specification stays stable.

Record the exact product, dimensions, quantity and internal part reference.

Tell All Foam how often you expect to order and whether demand varies during the year.

Can I change the dimensions after receiving a quote?

Ask for the quote to be reviewed.

A dimension, thickness, grade, quantity or delivery change can affect price and lead time.

For drawings, use revision numbers so everyone is working from the same version.

Do I need a technical data sheet?

If the project depends on a named property, yes.

Check the relevant All Foam data sheets for current technical information.

Do not use a generic internet specification for a material with a similar name.

What is the best first message to send?

A strong enquiry might say:

We manufacture upholstered benches and need 30 seat pads per month. Finished size 1000 x 450 x 100mm. We need advice on a suitable firm upholstery grade and confirmation of the relevant fire documentation. Delivery is to Birmingham. Please quote the initial 30 pieces and advise the trade lead time.

That gives enough information to discuss product, price and timing.

Quick answer: what should a trade buyer do next?

Write down the application, exact dimensions, quantity, delivery postcode, required date and any technical requirement, then send the enquiry through the All Foam contact page. If the product is unknown, describe the finished job rather than guessing a foam grade.
