Reflex foam is a resilient polyurethane foam that recovers quickly after pressure. Medium and Firm grades create different levels of resistance, but Reflex Superior Medium and Reflex Superior Firm are no longer part of the current All Foam retail mattress topper range.

What Reflex foam feels like
Reflex foam compresses under load and then returns quickly as pressure changes. This creates a more immediate response than memory foam, which changes shape more gradually and tends to follow the body more closely.
The term Reflex describes the foam's resilient response rather than a single firmness. Different Reflex grades can therefore feel noticeably different even when the material family is similar.
Reflex Medium compared with Reflex Firm
Reflex Medium allows more initial compression and creates a more forgiving surface. Reflex Firm provides greater resistance and a steadier feel under load.
Neither grade is automatically better. The appropriate firmness depends on the application, the support underneath and the change in feel that is required.
Why the mattress underneath still matters
A topper changes the upper comfort layer but does not replace the mattress support core. A firm mattress under a medium foam layer can still feel quite supportive, while a softer mattress under the same layer may feel much more yielding.
A topper should only be used when the mattress remains level and structurally sound. It cannot repair broken springs, deep sagging or a failed support core.

Reflex foam is characterised by quick recovery and resilient support, while memory foam responds more slowly and standard polyurethane grades offer their own firmness and density choices.
